Turn AI from a buzzword
into things that ship.

I'm a Toronto-based founder and operator. I invest in early-stage startups, advise on hard product calls, and embed with teams as their AI Champion, translating AI past the hype into real-world results.

What I do

Five ways I help founders.

No agency, no handoffs. You work with me directly, strategy through to shipped.

Advisory

Technology Advisor

Fractional CTO and senior second opinions. Architecture, build-vs-buy, and cost calls when they count, drawn from three decades building and running production systems.

Domain

Hosting & Cloud

Building, running, and supporting infrastructure and its systems: provisioning, billing, customer support, ITSM, and software engineering. I cut cloud spend and harden reliability.

Domain

Platforms & Marketplaces

Building and scaling commerce systems that keep digital businesses running, from API design, ISV and MSP integration through to go-to-market.

Invest

Angel Investing

Early-stage cheques and hands-on support for founders building in and around the GTA. Deal evaluation, founder assessment, and portfolio help.

About

Named for the rarest event in the universe.

iKilonova takes its name from the kilonova, one of the rarest moments in the cosmos, where two neutron stars come together and the universe forges its heaviest, most precious elements: gold, platinum, the rare materials that form almost nowhere else.

We're living through a moment like that in technology. AI is accelerating faster every day, and the impact, the opportunity and richness it will create for humankind and for business, is almost unimaginable. Rare conditions, extraordinary value. The instinct shouldn't be to run from it, but to embrace it and help shape what gets made.

That's the work of iKilonova: bringing the right elements together at the right moment so something rare and lasting gets made. The lowercase i is deliberate. This is personal, hands-on work, not a faceless firm.

Turker Sokullu

Turker Sokullu

Founder & Director

It started with code and servers in the mid-90s. Software, then hosting and eCommerce while most businesses were still deciding whether the web mattered. The work was foundational: make it run, keep it running, make it pay for itself.

That foundation turned into platforms. Over two decades Turker built and scaled hosting, cloud, marketplace, and customer-service systems, and led engineering as the CTO of a large distributor moving cloud and SaaS at scale. Along the way he founded companies, raised money, ran distributed teams, and saw one company through to a sale.

Since 2018 he has been writing early cheques and advising founders around Toronto. And now there is AI, a shift as large as any he has lived through. The instinct is the same as it was in 1995: get past the noise, build the thing, make it real. Today he embeds with teams as their AI Champion, taking AI from idea to production.
